According to two studies, one in 2007 and one in 2014 showed that especially papaya seeds can remove parasites. The former showed the removal of parasite in 71% of children which consume papaya seeds and the latter showed the elimination of parasites in goats. However, more studies need to be conducted about the beneficial effects of papaya.

There is some evidence to suggest that papaya may help to clean the stomach of parasites. Papaya contains an enzyme called papain, which has antiparasitic effects. However, more research is needed to confirm these effects. If you think you have a parasite infection, speak with your doctor. They can recommend the best course of treatment.

Papaya is an effective ingredient as part of a detox protocol. The enzyme present, papain, is found to be able to kill parasites and worm that may be present in our stomach without causing significant side effects.
