Melanoma is a cancer of melanocytes or melanin-forming cells of the skin. It is well known as skin cancer. It can spread from 1mm to 4mm maximum. The stage when its thickness reaches up to 4 mm is alarming and has maximum chances of recurrence due to its possibility to infect other organs also.
Melanoma is usually less than a millimeter thick. With such kind of thickness, the condition has very few chances of spreading.
